Facade Consulting
Sometimes called Curtain Wall Consulting, this discipline covers specialist technical input relating to exterior wall systems, fenestration (windows), thermal and moisture protection, glass and related matters. A typical large building project consists of pre-construction services such as: advice and technical consulting to the design team, technical specifications, drawing details and tender review prior to award of the contract, which is then followed by the post-award or construction-phase services such as: shop drawing review, verification of testing, review of structural calculations, quality plans, method statements, technical data etc., plus inspections at the factory and the site throughout the project.
Every curtain wall project should have an independent specialist consultant on board: The contractor’s guarantee is valid for at most 10 years, while the owner needs a system which is going to perform and look good for at least 30 years. That’s why prudent developers want us on their team. Services are provided under an agreement with either the developer, project manager or design consultants. Our consulting team is headed by Ms. Sandy Dweik, MSFE, who is very well known in the industry and universally respected. Sandy has been with us since 1999.
